Jonathan Balkind is a seventh year PhD candidate in Computer Science. His research focuses on the design of computer processors and its intersection with programming languages and operating systems. Jonathan is a native of Scotland, meaning he has a love of fried food and perpetual rain. Before starting at Princeton, he completed a Masters degree in Computing Science at the University of Glasgow. He has undertaken exchanges and internships in California, Cambridge, and South Korea. Outwith his studies, he likes to travel, learn Korean, and mentor undergraduates in research.
