Anne Caswell-Klein

Dean of Wilson College

Welcome to Wilson!   As dean, I oversee the college and have special responsibility for juniors and seniors.  I’m happy to meet with any Wilson students to discuss academics, the stresses of Princeton, or whatever is on your mind.  I am looking forward to working with all of you: my door is always open!

I became Dean of Wilson College in 2013; before coming to Wilson, I was Director of Studies at Rockefeller College.  My PhD is from Princeton in Comparative Literature, and my scholarly interests include the relationship between literature and ethical/philosophical ideas.  I taught in Comparative Literature and as a member of the Writing Program faculty, where I led seminars like “Modern Memory” and “Literature Between the Wars.”  I grew up in Ohio and went to college at the University of Chicago. You’ll often see my family around Wilson, where we tend to congregate around the frozen yogurt machine.  M
y husband, Grady, is a cartoonist and an avid player of Ultimate Frisbee and soccer: he’ll be glad to tell you about the local pick-up games. I also enjoy movies, cooking and eating with friends, and going in to New York and Philly.   I've been an academic-athletic fellow for the softball team since 2010.
