Wilson College regularly offers yoga or meditation classes in the Wilson Dance studio on Wednesdays.
For the AY16-17 academic year, our instructor, Alisa Rose will offer a Yoga and Meditation Class on Wednesday evenings, 5- 6:15pm in the Wilson College Dance Studio
Alisa was classically trained and certified as a yoga teacher in India at the Vivekananda Ashram SVYASA in 1996. She continued her extensive studies in the US, integrating modern bio-mechanics and tantric philosophy into her teachings. Completing Immersion 1,2,3 and Level 1 Teacher Training at Virayoga, NYC. Plus 500 additional hours in advanced training's for Certification. Alisa is an E-RYT 500 registered with Yoga Alliance. She has been the Director of Yoga for The Chakra Institute in Europe and the US, where she studied mantra and meditation for over a decade. Since 2005 she has been on the faculty of Open Center, New York’s leading center for holistic learning. Teaching for 18 years, she continues to refine her studies of yoga. Classical yoga postures that increase strength and flexibility will be practiced in this Open Level Hatha Yoga Class. Detailed alignment principals, breath awareness and yogic philosophy will inspire a greater sense of ease; physically, emotionally, and mentally. Class will conclude with deep relaxation and meditation.
All levels welcome - including those new to the practice of yoga.

Classes begin on Wednesday September 21. The last yoga class will be held on Wednesday, May 24. Yoga is every week, including Fall and Spring Recess except for the dates below:
